This is the original series, the beginning of it all. The Transformers originally made their first appearance in 1984 with their first wave of Toys, a m4 part mini comic and a 3 part TV pilot. Only in the US was the distinction first made between the original series and the relaunch line called "Generation 2" did the term Generation or G1 get applied to the first series. In the rest of the world Transformers never took a break and continued going with new toys, new comic and new cartoons the entire time.
I am not really going to cover all of the toys because let's face it there are just too many. Instead this website is going to mostly focus on the Cartoons and Movies and mention only those toys I figure are worth mentioning. There is already a much larger website than mine which has a complete break down of all the toys. Still I figure since my love of Transformers began with the toys I will mention those which are special to me.
